Fishing Guide in Fort Myers
Fort Myers is where the river meets the Gulf, and it's one of the most productive areas I fish all year, especially for those who want to target tarpon and snook.
Fishing Fort Myers
The Caloosahatchee River as it widens near Fort Myers creates some excellent fishing habitat. The deep holes near the mouth hold tarpon in the summer months, and I've had some memorable days watching them roll on the surface. The mangroves along the shoreline hold snook, and the grass flats on the east side produce solid redfish and trout. Fort Myers Beach and the nearby islands give us good access when we want to run further out. The fishing here changes with the seasons. Spring is excellent for snook moving out of the river, summer is tarpon season, and fall brings good redfish action on the flats. What makes Fort Myers special is the variety. We can fish the river mouth for tarpon, work the mangroves for snook, or hit the grass flats for redfish and trout all in one trip if we time it right. The winter months slow down a bit but the snook fishing around the bridges can still be productive if we get a warm spell.

What Anglers Say
“I had a great time yesterday on the water with Capt. Stu. He took me on an all day trip and did not disappoint. Got me my first redfish and tarpon which we leadered to the boat and he shoot back off under the boat and broke us off. To top it off that got me my first inshore grand slam which was an awesome experience! I will definitely be booking again with Capt. Stu”
“Had an excellent time the guy seems real knowledgeable about the fish in the area and everything going on with the fishery. Would def go again!”
