Fishing Guide in Cape Coral
Cape Coral gives you that rare mix of canal fishing and quick Gulf access, and I take a lot of trips out of here for anglers who want to cover water without driving far.
Fishing Cape Coral
The canal system here is something else. We're talking over 400 miles of waterways, mostly freshwater or slightly brackish, that hold some good bass and tilapia in the deeper spots. But the real action is when we run south to the Caloosahatchee River mouth where it opens up to the Gulf. That's where you'll find snook stacking up around the bridges and seawalls, especially in the cooler months. The river itself has decent redfish and trout fishing in the grass flats on the eastern side. What I like about fishing Cape Coral is the variety. We can hit some structure in the canals in the morning, then make the short run to the Gulf in the afternoon. The winter months bring the best snook fishing, while summer is solid for the freshwater bite and some decent tarpon action near the mouth. Most of my trips out of Cape Coral are half-day runs, but we can easily stretch into a full day if the fish are biting.

What Anglers Say
“I had a great time yesterday on the water with Capt. Stu. He took me on an all day trip and did not disappoint. Got me my first redfish and tarpon which we leadered to the boat and he shoot back off under the boat and broke us off. To top it off that got me my first inshore grand slam which was an awesome experience! I will definitely be booking again with Capt. Stu”
“Had an excellent time the guy seems real knowledgeable about the fish in the area and everything going on with the fishery. Would def go again!”
